Separation Trauma

I have just started listening to the PAC course, and it’s great to see all the psychology and astrology coming together in one place. Even though the cause of separation trauma has been associated with separation from the mother, is it really as simple as that? Separation exists throughout the universe. Day separated from night, the Sun separated from the Moon, each planet separated from each other, each atom or molecule or particle separated from each other, the dissociation of everything within oneself where each of the organs and their functions are separated from each other, and the list goes on. Since we are associated with the Moon as the individual consciousness, I wonder if what we feel is actually the Moon’s separation from Earth (it’s mother), the Earth’s separation from the Sun (her father), and the Earth’s separation from the other planets (her siblings). If we are meant to be part of the Soul, perhaps the reflection that the Moon receives is not only from the Sun itself, but also from us individuals and our consciousness, thus connecting the Moon back to it’s birth mother. Just as a grown child hides its hurt from it’s mother to act tough and tries to take care of it’s mother, I wonder if the Moon is also doing the same by hiding it’s dark side that is pockmarked with all that it has suffered and still trying to reflect the Sun’s light. I see similarities of the same in the people on this Earth. We are all walking time-bombs and yet we overexert ourselves to take care of the needs of the other offsprings of the Earth. Even though a male child will face the trauma of separation from it’s mother, it is only a female child that will not only experience the trauma of separation from her mother, but also the separation trauma from her child, and thus not only reliving her own experience of the traumatic experience from childhood but also adding another trauma to her already fragile mind. Post-partum stress is not something that can be brushed away. So much more essential for the female to not only have a safe surrounding to give birth in, but also a safe community around her. With the “I’m OK, You’re OK”, I wonder if we experience the four different types during different times in life. Personally, I started with “I’m not OK, You’re OK”, moved on to “I’m OK, You’re not OK”, balanced myself out at “I’m OK, You’re OK”, and then went into a period of withdrawal with “I’m not OK, You’re not OK”. Since it’s the Moon, I wonder if we change the wording from ‘OK’ to ‘safe’, whether it might read a bit better. Like saying, “I’m not connected to myself and so not feeling safe, but you’re feeling safe because I am connecting with you and making you feel safe, so could you also connect with me and make me feel safe?” Or “I’m connected with myself and hence feeling safe, and I’m glad that you’re connected with yourself and feeling safe too. Let’s relax and enjoy each other’s company.” With “I’m OK, You’re not OK”, it would be “I have to connect to myself to feel safe, because connecting with you is not making me feel safe”. With “I’m not OK, You’re not OK”, I wonder if it could be read as “I’m not connected enough to myself to feel safe, and since I’m not feeling safe within myself, connecting with you is also not making me feel safe.” Life is so complicated. No wonder we keep tripping up over and over again.

Manisha, OK has a large connotation which includes safe.

The separation from mother trauma is the MOTHER, haha, of traumas of this lifetime.

Separation of our consciousness from God consciousness upon taking human form is the real separation, the mother separation is just a mirror of this.
