Hi @ernst and all. Can we clearly see one’s innate nature from the chart? Would it be the moon, Ketu or perhaps both? To balance this nature and thus relate to our surroundings more harmoniously, would we move towards Rahu? could you provide an example for clarity?

With humility,

Tieara

Innate nature has to do with lot of things like lagna, lagna lord, sun, ak and many more etc...

Our habitual way of being, reacting etc has a lot to do with the Moon though. If it´s that what you mean. The Sun has to do with our inner truth, our essence, where we want to or need to shine no matter what. The Nodes indicate the path, what we came to finish/let go of and to get into... The lagna: the body, what we "are" in terms of profession etc, the image in the world...

More or less so.

The Moon represents our inner life and emotions. It characterizes our dispositions, instincts and the sense we have of things. The Moon shows our condition of consciousness and what we are comfortable with. I think the Moon has a lot to say what the person is like in the Rasi and in the Navamsa because the Navamsa is the path the person is on. So I would look at the Moon in the Rasi let's say it is in Aries. What are the major influences to the Moon and the sign the Moon is in? If it is aspected by Mercury then you have a curious, mentally active Moon. If it is aspected by Mars then you have a fiery, action Moon and so on. Then I look at the Navamsa where the Moon is at. Let's say Moon is in Cancer. So now i have an Aries Cancer Moon. Then i look at the major  planets are influencing the Moon (aspect and conjuction) and the sign as that will color the Moon to give the Moon its personality both in the Rasi and Navamsa. I think that will provide some information about the person's innate personality....

Just some of my thoughts...

@tuyetv since this is about psychology and inner experience, do you use planetary aspects rather than rasi aspects?

I remembered Ernst said to decide on a technique and use it well and several years ago i decided to use Rasi aspect to read charts. I am aware that for Parashara which is more psychological, planetary is used. But for myself I use Rasi aspect to read charts...Just like i use South Indian charts and i get a little confused when someone post a North Indian chart. But North Indian chart i do find it is more convenient to id angle houses so for Ashtakavarga is very useful...
