Hey Ernst and Friends,
I am still a little confused about the clear distinctions between Vimshottari Dasha periods and Planetary Transits for predictive Astrology.
Since Vimshottari Dashas are dependent on the Moon, are the Dasas more representative of how you will feel during a certain period of your life? Meaning that your internal landscape and perception of your reality is determined by the Dasa periods you are running at a particular time.
While the Planetary Transits are more indicative of what is actually happening in the external landscape of you life?
For example, you are running Rahu Dasha, so the next 18 years are going to be full of emotional upheavals, confusion, discomfort, and unexpected events that will catch you completely off guard. But you have good transits during a certain time period, like Jupiter in the 10th house (with 10th cusp) or Saturn in the 11th Rasi from the 10th Bhava cusp, and therefore, you will find improvements in your career, and more success in the public sphere.
I would love to hear anyone's opinion who is willing to share, cheers.
Dasas are very subjective, however, subjective in most cases is based on real experiences - they line up, so a good subjective experience means a good concrete event, but that's not true for everyone. A mentally or emotionally ill person can have subjective reactions that are very different from the reality. And by ill, I mean simply bad avasthas. We can have good things happen to us that just feel horrid and wrong to us because of the trauma indicated by bad avastha planets. It takes a lot of maturity to recognize this in a person. In the end, its the subjective that really matters, its how we are experincing life, regardless of the concrete. And also, this does not even mean the subjective is crazy, its simply that maybe the reality is not feeling right to the self for any kind of reason, it may just not be right for them and so subjectively it feels like a wrong thing for them.
In the end, subjectivity rules humans. Look at the stock market, nothing has to happen except people's subjectivity gets stirred up and fortunes are made and lost when really, nothing concrete ever happened, that's why is so very difficult to predict the stock indexes.
Art, baseball cards, magic cards, etc. have proven to be a better investments than gold, etc. And that's all subjective.
Aho, thank you, sir.
