More than one Guru has been considered as the Kalki avatar... so who is the correct one... most likely the one who never claimed it...
Kalki avatar is said to come at the end of the kali yuga, to me this means the end of the descending kali yuga to usher in the rise of the ascending yugas which starts with the ascending kali yuga. So I don't expect him to have shown up around the 16 or 1700s.
He will ride a white horse. A horse symbolizes power, it does not literally mean he is going to ride around on a white horse. Think how many people can do that, haha, its nothing special to ride a white horse and so this is symoblic as always. If it was just a concrete thing, then most certainly the lone ranger is the kalki avatar.
So think about this and maybe you will get an idea of who Kalki can be...
Also the whiteness of the horse symbolizes satya/truth like Indra riding the white elephant of truth.
And I don't think, if Jesus returns, that he will come riding with a literal sword in his mouth, as the sword is the word of truth which cuts through falsehood and illusion.
Ernst, when do you think the ascending Kali yuga began? ( some time during the dark ages?)

Are we also in the middle of a much larger kali yuga period, within which this much smaller-scale ascenscion is currently occuring?
