Hello @ernst and everyone

in the attached chart you said that moon isn’t helping the situation with Saturn in poor dignity in the 12th because the moon isn’t aspecting lagna lord or atmakaraka. However moon is aspecting cancer, and you said that helps it to manifest more. Will you please explain the difference between house lord aspecting AK/LL vs its own house? Is it that the house lord when aspecting his own house just helps to manifest the house but has no say on the quality, even though it is exalted?

 Thank you!

Here is another question.. in this example you speak about this person’s nice 9th house. Venus is in the best dignity as you say but it is also kopi. There is also an aspect by Sun, Mars, waning moon, and Jupiter all in bad dignity. So I see 9th house being sacrificed by Sun, with a waning moon for her to use the sacrifice for inner growth, and Mars to give some fighting/lack of restraint there as well. I see it not being so positive for her.. so do you say that it is a nice house for her because her AK mars aspects it or because Venus is in the best dignity of all her planets? Or perhaps with Jupiter aspecting it still manifested some nice things, specifically the monetary support that you mentioned (boosted by a Mars Jupiter conjunction)?

In the first example, a house lord aspecting lagna lord or AK simply  means that that  house will be a theme in the persons life. It does not make it good or bad, just indicates a theme.

A house lord aspecting or in a house helps it to manifest a house, so then a person can get the house. this is one of three factors, the other two being mercury and jupiter.

In the second example we have Jupiter and the lord aspecting, so the house will manifest. Its nice in that context. Also, venus and mars both influencing a hosue make a person fight for the house as it has value to them, so that helps them keep it.

@ernst How much does dignity affect the manifesting strength? Like my DB Saturn (rasi) aspecting the 9th, which is Aq. Saturn is also kopi due to Rahu. 50% reduction? Or more? Give and take...

I´m sorry if you have explained this 1000 times before and I still haven´t got it.

@karinia Great, thank you Karinia! (Not great that it doesn´t manifest it though, but... Can´t complain about my Venus/9th house even without it.)

I wonder though, especially since it´s Saturn that improves over time... ... whether the effect of DB doesn´t diminish when you get older. Based on the anecdotal evidence that my own life and chart offer: I´m in Saturn dasa, and my 9th house has started to bloom in this dasa, not so much before. I´d have to ask Ernst about that perhaps.
