Hi Ernst,

1. This may have been asked before at some point, but in terms of counseling self-improvement, how do you see the importance of solving Rahu/Ketu as a priority when compared with solving Lajjitaadi Avashthas?

Should someone in their early forties focus more on Ra/Ke habits first, before solving L.A.s, or tackle both together at the same time (especially if they have a planet conjunct or very close to Rahu that is in a bad lajjitaadi avashta? Or if one or both of Ra/Ke's lords are in bad L.A.s ,assuming they are in crisis and are new to Vedic Astrology)

I assume that at some point you may connect and combine the two as one time you mentioned that the Ra/Ke axis is the path along which we solve our L.A.s.

2. Which is more important; the L.A.s of Rahu and Ketu's lords, or of the planet Ra and Ke are closest to?

3. There seems to be a connection of the L.A.s with Venus and its role in healing and improving things using the power of the air element. If Venus is weighed down and greatly limited in a chart, will that person not have the ability to improve the L.A.s for the better? Like if it is mrita, low in shadbala, and in bad L.A.s as well? Or if it is mrita, and stuck in the middle of the chart (i.e.  6th house) and in a fixed sign add up to making it impossible to change because their is no free breathing room?

I wish I could be more brief and concise with my questions, but thanks for your time,

S.

Solving the Lajjitaadi avasthas is more important because its these that are responsible for not successfully completing our rahu and ketu missions. If the avasthas are good, rahu and ketu are not all that difficult to negotiate. The avasthas of Rahu and Ketu's lords are the most important thing.

The advantage that venus gives is the abilty to heal. Venus is the vital energy which determines the rate we can heal from things. So as we get hurt, we can get back on our feet to try again quicker if Venus is good.

@ernst

Should we heal the avasthas of Rahu and Ketu's lords even if there are other shamed planets?

For example, I have Saturn/Mars/Ketu in 9th (Gemini), so both Saturn and Mars are shamed.  But my Rahu's lord Jupiter is self abiding and is conjunct Ketu's lord Mercury (in 6th, Pisces).

The only negative avastha on Jupiter is Mercury starving it through conjunction.  Also, Mercury's only negative avastha is thirsting from the waxing Virgo Moon but Mercury is also conjunct a benefic.

So should I focus on avasthas of Rahu and Ketu's lords or my shamed planets?

Regards,

Anand

Shamed planet is the most important to heal, its also the hardest, but until it is healed, it can throw any other planet off course. But the planet you need to focus on healing is the one coming up in the MOMENT.
