Hello Ernst,

I am listening to LA Heart of Parashara Saturn delights Venus. You said Saturn delights Venus when Venus is in Capricorn or Acquarius and Saturn starves Venus when both Saturn and Venus are in a sign together, conjunction. What if both happens meaning Saturn and Venus are together in let's say Acquarius? Are we then saying Saturn is starving Venus as well as Venus is delighted by being in Saturn's sign Acquarius? The person will experience both starvation and delight at some point in their life? Or the fact that Saturn Venus conjunction is stronger than the delight, and the starvation will take over the delight?

Thx!

in that case you are getting both delight and starvation. same as when mercury and sun are in leo where sun agitates mercury but leo delights mercury.

I suppose if Venus has to be starved by Saturn via conjunction then by being in either Capricorn or Acquarius with Saturn is much better than being in another sign because at least in Capricorn and Acquarius Venus will also get some delight from Saturn. The best of the worse situation sort of speak.....

Also, Ernst, if Ve and Sa are together in the same sign in a particular varga chart(but not in the basic D1 chart), then it is not starved in the same sense as it would be in a conjunction in the D1, as it is not an astronomical conjunction like we would only see in a sign of the D1 chart.

Am I correct in assuming that a Sa "conjunction" in a varga would not hinder or starve the "conjoined" planet as much as it would if it were a real D1 conjunction?

Thanks,

S.

@ernst Sounds good.

With regard to a planet being starved by a malefic aspect, would you consider a planet in a varga starved in that varga if it has a malefic rashi aspect, as we only use rashi aspects in vargas?

I have a feeling, since L. avasthas are a Parashara technique, that aspect starvation is only valid for sure in the D1. But I wonder if having a rashi aspect from the would-be planet that starves in a varga would have a similar effect?
