basically, I am saying that inner conflicts are resolved with acceptance, not by making everythign fit into a nice package.

and you know with rahu in the 9th, if your parents are against it, it MAY be right. Even Yogananda's parent had very different ideas of what he should be doing with his life due to rahu in 9th.

@ernst This is one of the many places I am having trouble decoding Rahu and Ketu.

My more simple-minded and elementary assumption would have first been that in past life and early in this one, those of us with Rahu in 9th have actually neglected serving and pleasing our parents enough and are thus in the habit of not giving them enough appreciation and attention. And that we are coming from the karma of not respecting our elders and ancestral culture and so have neglected the dharma of serving them and respecting their cherished traditions.

And Rahu in the 9th, which is often one of the elements that points toward a Pitru Dosha affliction, requires the "remedy" of unconditionally serving our parents for the rest of their lives and always remembering to honor their wishes and please them.

@ernst This is food for thought as well. I recall that Yogananda has a Cap Sun. I have a Cap Sun in my D7 and an Aquarius Sun in my D9 and D10. My Jupiter return is also happening later this year. It seems there's a lot of important transits happening right now...

The thing with rahu is that we always have to make a GREAT journey and only after that journey can we return to our home and fix things there. So that means first finding a guide who can guide you in what you are, not a guide like the parents who could not. after being guided and having knowing, then you can understand how to serve your parents at home.

And with rahu, its hard to find that person, its hard to find the right guide so its normal to meet a few teachers along the way who don't last, who maybe offer a bit at first, but which don't have enough of what you need. so you have to be flexible and patient in the search.

I was listening to the extremes of Ketu in the 3rd and Rahu in the 9th and laughing at all that was said about Ketu in the 3rd. I feel my study of astrology is more like Ketu in the 3rd. I am trying to get more information about things. Whereas when it comes to kriya yoga like Rahu in the 9th, there is a lot of doubt there. To cultivate that faith and belief, now that I am on my 41st year of life, I just have to pick a path and plunge in even though it feels scary and the unknown. I don't understand a lot of material that is being taught and not sure if it is true, etc. Everything seems to be a belief.

I understand what Ketu in the 3rd does. When I was a teenager and was reading the Bible, it stated that at first there was darkness. My first thought was how does the author know that at first there was darkness when the author was not born and mankind was not created?

Yesterday, I tried to read the Holy Science. Same question arises. How do we know that Babaji did appear to Sri Yukteshwar and told him to write the book? I have to believe that the event did indeed took place.

From what I have read of Babaji was his name was Nagaraj and he was kidnapped as a child to be a slave and later released where he joined a group of sages but I also don’t know  if it is true.
