Hi @ernst and friends,

1. For a Scorpio Lagna, Parashara mentions Venus(7L, 12L) as an evil lord and a maraka, and Mars(1L, 6L) as neutral -

Venus, Mercury and Saturn are evil, auspicious are Jupiter and the Moon, the Sun and Moon are Yogakarakas. Mars is neutral, and Venus and the other evil have Maraka qualaties. Thus the effects are known for the Scorpio rising born.

In the chart attached, does their conjunction form a Vipareet yoga as a result of Mars being 6th lord and Venus being 7th and 12 lord? Or does it not because of Mars being a 'neutral'?

2. In the same chart, Mercury(11L, 8L) an evil lord is in 6th house conjunct the Sun(10L). In what way will Sun interfere with the Mercury's Vipareet yoga? Or in what way will Vipareet yoga interfere with the Sun? Or will the Sun enhance the Vipareet yoga of Mercury by making their work(10L Sun) deal primarily with taking care of non-inspiring stuff in life?

It has been awhile since i looked at Vipareet Yoga but as I remembered we look at the evil house lords 3rd, 6th and 11th. The evil planets per above are Venus, Mercury and Saturn. Saturn is in the 3rd the right house with the Moon who is not an evil planet. It is a stained Vipareet yoga. Mercury is the 11th Lord in the 6th so that forms a Vipareet yoga but it is with the Sun who is not an evil planet so it is also a stained Vipareet yoga. Venus an evil planet is with Mars the 6th Lord so that forms a Viapreet Yoga. If Venus was not an evil planet then you would have another stained Vipareet yoga, but Venus is an evil planet for Scorpio Lagna and it is with the 6th Lord....

Would be good for Ernst to confirm but that is how i remembered it...

Thanks @tuyetv , that's my basic understanding as well.

1) So for Mars-Venus, I wanted to check since Mars is neutral according to Parashara, does that change anything or the combination 6th, 7th, and 12th still produce a pure Vipreet yoga? I do guess that 1st lord related yogas will get destroyed in the process(Mars doesn't have good positive yoga judgement score anyways due to low digbala). Ernst can confirm

2) For Sun, Me in 6th, I agree it will be a stained yoga. But want to know what actually means in context of the chart and how it affects their 10th house indications.

3) Also, Is the strength of a vipareet yoga dependent on yoga judgment score? If yes, in what way?

@ernst would appreciate your help on this

mars and venus will not cause vipareet because mars is lagna lord. Mercury i 6th will cause vipareet and sun will not alter that.

Apologies @ernst if I am picking too much of your brains on this - but why will the Sun not alter the vipareet yoga? Is it that luminaries Sun and Moon do not stain a vipareet yoga?

And if the Sun does not stain this vipareet yoga, then I would interpret their work in the world to be more about taking care of and finishing off kama and artha stuff. Is that correct?
