Mercury Exalted but Mrita

I'm working on a chart that has me struggling.  This is for 8/28/1971 at 0614, Ahmednagar, India (if anyone wants to look).  I'm looking at a Virgo Lagna with Sun, Mercury (the AK) and Venus all in Virgo.  Venus is debilitated and so I was looking to the exalted Mercury to help out his natural friend.  But Mercury's Baladi Avastha is Mrita.  Does Mercury have any power to help Venus?  Or are they both dead in the water (so to speak)?

The condition of Mercury is puzzling because this is someone who is upper management, on the technical side of things, in a very successful tech company.  I see that there is a helpful Saturn (GF) in the 10th and a Mars/Rahu combo in the 6th which is Aquarius and definitely influencing the tech side of things.  Are these enough to enough to propel him to the heights in this company, or does Mercury still have some power?

Isn't that a Raj yoga - Sun+Mercury+Venus for a Virgo lagna?

@nkan Mercury in Virgo alone indicates a Raj yoga for Virgo lagna, or am I wrong? 1st and 10th in one bundle. Venus in debilitation can´t form a Raj yoga and Sun doesn´t run an angular or trinal house. That´s my understanding.

So yes, Raj yoga, but only through and because of Mercury.

I'm not familiar with that many yogas, but it sounds like a possibility.  Does the existence of a Raj yoga change the result of the problems Venus and Mercury have?

It seems like a chart with strong career indications, and good indications too, to me. In D-9 the AK Jupiter is in good dignity in the tech savy 3rd house, Mars EX in the lagna ruling the 10th, so nothing to complain about there... 10th house ruled by Mercury that goes into the lagna, F dignity.

Plus a Raj yoga (Me EX, ruling the 1st and 10th) and other good stuff going on in the D-1. In general terms I wouldn´t be worried about Venus from a career perspective, if that is the matter.

With that said: I can´t answer your concrete question though, about to what degree a planet in bad Deeptadi avastha can help another planet. That I leave to more experienced friends on the forum.

My understanding is for Virgo Lagna, Mercury, Venus and Sun conjunction is the best possible combination. That is the most inspired powerful yoga. Ernst has this yoga in his 8th House, the house of occult. Franklin D Roosevelt has this yoga in his 6th House...6th house is the house of debt, enemy. He got the US out of the Depression by going to war. He found success with troubles, in the confrontation of enemies and in financial problems. Though this combo gave him health issues. Whatever house the yoga is fallen in or even house cusp, that house will be the area that the yoga revolves around...That is what so interesting about astrology, that one combo is great for certain area of life such as career yet that same combo gives problems in other areas of life...

Look for aspect to this yoga to make sure you have a pure yoga...

@tuyetv On a general note, when the yoga is so powerful - involving three planets - I wonder if there is any aspect from an evil lord that can truly stain it. Sure, it may diminish the positive effects somewhat, but it would still produce some powerful effects nonetheless, would you say?

@nkan It is a powerful yoga but just how powerful it really is you have to look at many factors. In Ernst's Yoga Judgement class, he said need to look at the dignity, the Avasthas, the strength of the planets such as Dig Bala, Ishta and Kashta and so on. Is it a pure yoga or is it a blemished yoga? Two people can have the yoga, and one might be a manager at Taco Bell and the other is the President of a country. It is a bit of work to put a numerical value on how strong the yoga is...

@tuyetv I'm just reading this thread, and I really love how you described it!

When one area of life (or should I say, bhava) gets overdeveloped, the underdeveloped areas of life give problems. I love how we can see that with yogas too.
