Hi Ernst,

In which course videos do you go the most in-depth into dig bala?

Is there one where you give a full and separate expanation for what low, or zero, dig bala looks like for each planet, one by one, along with relevant examples and advice on how to improve it for each one?

I already know the one about Jupiter and using up energy while running a race or marathon. But what about for every planet and how to apply it in our regular lives?

I guess it gets complicated because it would also depend on the condition of the said planet's chesta vs uccha bala (Would we habitually rely on the stronger of those if dig bala is too low?), and the house the planet is placed in as well as the house it lords over.

Looks like it would require a lot of lucidity and detachment.

Thanks,

S.

As i recall the Shad Bala the 7 Facets of the Planets is an excellent course where Ernst gets into all the facets of Shad Bala and Dig is one of them...

yes, there is a lot in the Shadbala. There is some in the Lajjitaadi Avasthas Masters course at the end, and there will be more in the PAC course.

I finally have a chance to look at my Shad Bala notes. I really enjoyed that course. Ernst grouped the planets so we have Jupiter Mercury and Sun as one group. Then Venus and Moon as another group and Mars and Saturn as another group. If one planet in the group is weak then the other planet(s) that are strong will help out that weak planet. For example we have Jupiter, Mercury and the Sun as one group. These 3 planets are unique in that these 3 planets are planets in achieving our ambition.  They give us capacity for achievements and goals. Jupiter gives us an innate sense of purpose in life and it is worthwhile. The Sun gives us the confidence and self-esteem that what we believe is worthwhile and we can achieve it. Mercury is the planet of practicality in getting the job done.

So Jupiter has the vision, gives purpose. The Sun gives the strength of character to do it, the confidence, the self-esteem. And Mercury gives the "know how", the ability to manifest the purpose. They work together to help each other out...

Let's say Jupiter is weak so the person lacks the idea of purpose. They don't see this grand purpose of what they are meant to do. But they have a great Sun and Mercury. So they have a lot of confidence and a lot of know-how. They have the ability, the capability and confidence to get things done successfully. They may not feel like this is what I am born to do (lack of purpose Jupiter) even though they are doing well. If it is what they are doing and doing well then that is what they are born to do. That is their purpose...

But let's say they have a weak Sun but strong Jupiter and Mercury. The person has a strong sense of purpose and they have the vision of what they are meant to do in their life or hope to do. They have a good Mercury, a good know-how, the practicality to do the job. But the Sun is weak so they are not confident, and they are not secured. That will hold them back a little bit, but if they have the ability, purpose and the know-how (strong Jupiter and Mercury), they stronger planets will help them to go down the road of life. They probably will achieve things slower than had they have the strong Sun, the confidence, but they will get there with the help of the other two stronger planets, and the Sun will feel happier....

My thinking is to use this grouping to help us. If I have a weak Sun and I do, I use my strong Jupiter and pretty good Mercury to help me achieving my goals. I personally find this to work for me. We can't have all strong planets in our charts so we can do gem stone, mantras or whatever to help us with the weaker planet, but at the same time if we use this grouping of planets idea, we can use the stronger planets within the grouping to push us along our life journey....

@tuyetv Thank you for taking the time to review and explain. Yes I am starting to go over it myself, too.

When you mention a strong planet in the group helping, do you mean strong in dig bala, or just strong in general, even if not so good dig bala?

Thanks,

S.
