Hi Everyone,
I am listening to the Lajjitadi Avastha course videos right now. I am confused about the conjunction of planets.
In one of the videos, it is said that the planets in the signs ruled by the same planet are to be considered as conjunct. So, what I understood from this is, for example if Venus is conjunct Saturn in Gemini and Rahu is in Virgo then the Lajjitadi avastha of Venus would be Venus shamed by Saturn due to Rahu instead of Venus starved by Saturn. Is this correct?
Why do we consider this as conjunction?
Thanks,
Urmila
Hi Urmila, I started to do that after using these avasthas in the cards where planets in the same ruled sign are together. So I Just noticed it was having a psychological effect so I included it.
Hi Ernst/All,
Lets say we have only a node and a malefic only on 5th , is it considered shame ? for shame a planet has to be there right ?
Also lets say for example, for Cancer ascendant, which one among below is shamed ?
a. Moon in Scorpio, Saturn in Aries , Moon shamed right ?
b. Saturn in Scorpio, Moon in Aries , is Moon shamed as well ?
Sincerely
Deepak MK
No, one node and a malefic in the 5th is not shame.
saturn and moon do not shame each other, they starve each other. SO in your examples, they would shame each other if using same lord conjunction idea.
Hi Ernst,
I am trying to figure out why Mars is shamed in COT this year. The transits a few months ago were - Mars was in Pisces hence it is delighted by Jupiter by lordship.
Saturn retrograde was in the first half degree of Aquarius, Sun was in Gemini, and so was Rahu.
Transiting Mars is not in the 5th sign from the Lagna and neither is natal Mars.
Transiting Sun and Rahu could have been in the 5th house or conjunct the 5th Bhava cusp. Natal Sun could also be in the 5th house or conjunct the 5th Bhava cusp, but that can’t cause the shaming, can it?
The spread was created through the COT website.
