@ernst I suppose it depends on what your Ascendant is as well? For example, the 11th lord for a Virgo rising is considered evil since it's the Moon. So an exalted Moon for a Virgo Rising means the loss you pay to get the gain isn't really worth the price you paid, is that an accurate way of interpreting it?
the 11th lord is always evil, as is the 3rd and 6th though for some asc this rule is modified. And to learn to use this correctly you have to study the raja yogas part of the Yoga Judgment course. Its evil in the context of being able to block kendra kona raja yogas. but its good for the 11th, and so if its exalted, its very good fro the 11th and the 11th gets a lot of value, worth, on the things it gets and is very happy to have p aid the price. If the 11th lord is DB, or otherwise bad, its the opposite.
@ernst If the 11th lord is in the 6th, but in good dignity there, does good dignity make that poverty yoga less poor?
We can't abandon any house. Houses with planets are more important. 12th house is what we loose, what we give up, our expenses.
11th is our goals, what we most want, what we are striving for. That has a cost, that is the 12th house aspect of the 11th. Nothing in the 11th is FREE, we are going to pay for it with time, money, energy, make personal sacrifices for it, etc. If the 11th is good, the realization of the goal is wirth the cost, if the 11th is bad, the cost is greater than the realization of the goal and life does not really get much better despite the cost.
THe 12th house is the expense of our general lives, of the path we are on, the path we are on being the asc. The cost we pay to go through our lives.

I thought a good 12th makes the person able to be happy with the losses. So my question was about a renunciate undertaking. And wondering if the focused 11th will prevent it or become an obstacle.
Is a renunciate giving up his path, his ascendant?
Is it happening when we get very old?

How the reasoning above resonates with me! I have an epicly trashed 11th house and have had a hard time finding recognition in the areas where I shine. It´s not easy with Rahu and a DB Saturn there, I ensure you!
And now, being married to this incredible woman with a healing practice and having a deep, though humble purpose with my life, I can see the exact meaning of what you are saying: You pay a high price for any worldly success. I would not get much satisfaction out of it.
I now see my trashed 11th house as a grace in disguise. Even though I realize that I may sound like the fox and the grapes: "I don´t want them, they are sour!" 😆

@tuyetv I didn´t tell you in our last conversation that the Mattias you referred to is actually me. I didn´t want to give away my identity since I have had some conflicts on the forum, but it´s already out so now it doesn´t matter. The main reason why I changed my username is another though - I decided to use my second name as an astrologer since the M-sound is ruled by Saturn and my Saturn is very week.
