Hi Ernst,

With Rahu in 1st, you said that other people don’t usually see the person clearly because their energy is going more towards the 7th house and less towards themselves (paraphrasing it here).

With Rahu-Jupiter in 1st, I guess other people see the person as a generous person, putting more pressure on the person to give in different ways (Ketu in 7th). Would that be correct?

You also say that Rahu-Jupiter is on the path to find the right kind of Jupiterian experience and they come across many bad Jupiter experiences before they start finding the right ones. I guess this would include people who want to take on the role of husband or teacher for the person? So, it is up to the person to choose the right Jupiter to fit that role from the many options available. Is that correct? Maybe that also fits into my 7 of Hearts Jupiter card.

Today, I had an odd experience which I am trying to understand. I have had this before, and I have allowed it to slip past. But today, I experienced it from three different people who are not my mentors, so decided to take notice of it.

All three of them wanted to teach me something, but their knowledge was much less than the mentors that I have already chosen. From each of them, it seemed more of ‘I want from you’ kind of approach instead of ‘I freely give to you’ kind of teaching. I am wondering if I am experiencing an energetic manipulation of the 7th house Ketu as “I have something that might help you if you can share your energy with me” - a kind of test to see how much I have moved away from Ketu? Except I am aware that they have nothing to offer me in comparison to what they can get from me, so it won’t be a balanced 7th house give and take, at least not in the Jupiterian way. Maybe they have other attributes for a balanced give and take, that have not revealed themselves yet.

The odd thing is that two of them approached me when I was not looking for company and was enjoying being lost in what I was doing.

Juptier in first is most significant in taht a person is strong in their truth. People feel this and it feels like there is something good there th at they want. With Rahu there a person is finding out just exactly what their truth is in this lifetime, but its still strong. The jupiter experience with rahu in first is jupiter experience of finding their truth, not so much that of finding jupiter people. As Jupiter develops, it will be typical to encounter other's who have less to give as Jupiter is about giving out of abundance, not giving out of fair trade as is the 7th and Venus.

@ernst

Your reply reminded me of the fact that once the sign is sorted, it is the house that needs sorting.

So, Ketu in the 7th house, is it always about moving away from equal give and take, or only moving away from relationships? I guess with Ketu in 7th, relationships end because there is no ‘usefulness’ left to exchange. Or is the equal give and take not present only because Jupiter is in the 1st?

If I have 10th house and cusp in Libra, does that mean that there is equal give and take only in the 10th connotation?

Apologies for all the questions. I am hell bent on getting Wizard Jupiter on my side so I can go tame the fire breathing Sun dragon and rescue Princess Venus from the high tower. Hahaha.

@manisha no, not like that. First, we deal with the house, t hen the sign. In fact, when rahu maturation comes, its VERY common that a person goes to the rahu house upon the failure of the ketu house, but they can't make it last, they recognize the need, have the benefits, but then it falls apart because they have not integrated the Rasi. Then years later they learn to integrate the rasi. Remember, its the signs that need healing, the houses are just the place we do that.

Ketu in 7th is about moving away from relationships and partnerships of all type, and they should be equal give and take, but they never are when ketu is in the 7th. More often, the person's partner leaves or has big problmes that make the ketu house fall apart. The ketu in the 7th person never wants to be out of partnership. The equal give nad take is usually not present due to the rahu in the first house showing that the person needs to develop somethings before they can be in a fully equal give and take on all levels.

Anytime rahu is in libra a person needs to develop equal give and take in all areas of life. but in 10th is where it will be learned.

@ernst And the house can only improve or be integrated if we take the strategy and approach that a healthy version of the actual rashi Rahu is in would take?

If we could pin down which aditya rules which rashi (since different schemes exist) then perhaps we could study the behavior of that aditya in the vedic mythology for clues and inspiration with how to apply it in relation to Rahus rashi that he rules.

Looking forward to the Rashi-Aditya course. That kind of stuff has been brewing in my mind for almost 5 years.

@mitryendra80 the hosue can only last when we have a working way of using the rasit hat aries is in, until then, the house will be lost after its gained. the first aditya, Dhatri, relates to tropical pisces.

I misread your earlier post and thought I got a wrong understanding of Rahu-Ketu, and was going to go through the Rahu-Ketu course again. Thanks for clarifying about Ketu in 7th. I am back on track with it.

So with Rahu-Jupiter in 1st, and since Jupiter is about giving out of abundance, I think you are saying that once Ketu in 7th house develops that equal balanced partnership, then it is ok to give out of abundance. Giving out of abundance when in unequal partnerships does no good to the person as it puts them in deficit. Am I understanding that correctly?

@manisha you said:  Giving out of abundance when in unequal partnerships does no good to the person as it puts them in deficit.

NO, not true, giving out of abundance by definition does not get a person into deficit. But if in an unequal partnership and not abundant, t hen yes, one needs to not give what they do nto have.

It looks like I still have to shift the balance between Saturn and Jupiter, between lack and abundance, between sadness and joy, between apathy and purpose. With Rahu-Jupiter in Capricorn, I guess it will take some more time. As long as Kronos (Saturn) does not destroy Zeus (Jupiter), I am ahead of the game.

Thank you, and thank you for your patience.

@ernst For a Jupiter-Rahu conjunction in the 8th house, would the expectation from the public towards Jupiter be to share one's wisdom and knowledge (i.e. astrology), in an open source format rather than through a sustainable exchange of resources?

No, not at all, Jupiter in the 8th helps a person develop their resources with the help of others.

@ernst If Jupiter is with Rahu in Aries in the 8th, is it instead that in order to develop their resources, the person has to step forward and do their own thing regardless of the consequences to themselves or anyone else? And then once they do that, Jupiter brings the help of other people's resources?

rahu in aries in the 8th needs to take what other's have promised or else the will get taken advantage of. They need to learn that they have to be personally responsible for getting thier needs met from others in a way that works. Jupiter afflicted there means its harder to get others to deliver what has been promised.
