I would like some clarification from anyone, please and thank you. So, I understand that the Svamsa is the Rasi/Sign holding the Atmakaraka in the Navamsa varga chart. Let's say that the Svamsa is Aquarius, would you then look at Aquarius in the Rasi chart to determine one's career? Or, do you look at the sign holding the Atmakaraka in the Rasi chart instead (the karakamsa)?
What would you say is most powerful for determining career the Svamsa sign in the Rasi chart or the Karakamsa sign (the sign holding the Atmakaraka in the Rasi)?
You then look at the ruler of Aquarius and any planets joining the planet in D9. You don´t bring it over to D1 though. Here´s Ernst´s list for career planets:

2. Planets Joined the AK in the Rasi
3. The lord of the Rasi in which the AK is placed
4. The lord of the Navamsa in which the AK is placed (Svamsa)
5. Planets joined the AK in the Navamsa (in the svamsa)
6. Planets in the Pada
7. The lord of the Pada
8. Planets in the Upapada
9. The lord of the Upapada
10. (If the Sun is strong) Planets Joined the Sun in the Rasi
11. (If the Sun is strong) The lord of the Rasi in which the Sun is placed
12. (If the Sun is strong) The lord of the Navamsa in which the Sun is placed
13. (If the Sun is strong) Planets joined the AK in the Navamsa
14. (Don’t forget the special principles from the Skills section of the 2nd Pada of Jaimini and
the special Moon/Mercury healer combination. )
And then go over to see how they connect to certain cusps etc.

@staffan Ohh, you also look at the lord of the Svamsa and see where it's placed?
I haven't heard of that one yet. Looking into that to get more information about the native makes sense!

@karmasauceforyama Yes, check the manuals for the Jaimini audio courses.
Except for the manuals there are two special documents, titled Predicting career and Subtleties of Career Determination. Not sure to which of the three parts of the course it belong though, but probably not the first.
