“Boy, do they make life difficult for themselves” - That sums it all up. I guess it would work better in certain signs than in others. It is amazing how it is not just one component, but how the entire chart works together.

@ernst

Do the Lajitaadi Avasthas apply to the Navamsa chart as well or only the Rashi chart?

I have a really strong Sun/Saturn Parivartana yoga going on in D9 and your video brought up alot of painful emotions for me.

@ernst So in the Navamsa, Saturn in Leo wouldn't be starved by the Sun for being in his rashi???

I thought I remember a tropical Vedic astrologer who used some lajjitadi avasthas in the vargas, just wtihout starvation by conjunction or aspect (Only through sign placement).

No, I would not consider it starved. I used to use the avasthas in the vargas, but not anymore. I am streamlining the entire avastha process...

@ernst Sounds good.

Maybe you could get rid of the misery yogas in the vargas as well while your at it?

@ernst But would Sa in Leo still be considered in "bad dignity" for that varga.

I am still a bit fuzzy on prioritizing just how much importance to give vargas in general these days.
