A planet aspecting from its own sign?

Hi! This is a question I had in the back of my mind for some time. I've gone through a good amount of Ernst's Jaimini videos, and he seems to not mind when a planet like Saturn is in its own sign and influences another house or planet. 

For example, let's say Saturn is in Capricorn and is influencing the 7th cusp. Saturn is a separator. I guess he'd still create separation in relationships, but maybe it won't be as troubling? 

Thoughts?
